SAD eater says: "So, what exactly DO you eat?"

Me says: "Well, I eat fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, and sprouted grains."

SAD eater says: "How can you LIVE like that?"

Me says: "It's not as difficult as you might think. I just don't eat anything cooked or processed."

SAD eater: "But, that doesn't leave much left! I could NEVER survive like that!"

Me says: "maybe you should take a lesson from an animal. They don't cook their food and they survive just fine."

SAD eater: "So, are you saying that animals are smarte than I am?"

Love that and I too have had that very conversation only mine ended with:

me: Well...the way you eat was killing me!

SAD: ( jaw drops)...well you do LOOK healthy...how do you get protein though...?

(see? they think they got me on this one...)

me: I then give them the schpiel about Raw broccoli and cooked chicken (broccc. wins in case you didn't know) and how the meat and dairy industries WANT us to believe one can only get protein and calcium from those sourses. they usually then scurry on their way. sometimes they are interested...most of the time not. because when their protein/calcium questions are answered their next excuse is how much time it takes...pffft!

As a mother of six children I sometimes get the snide comment, "You DO know what causes this, right?"

So now I can add to my T-shirt I am going to make someday. On the front it will read,
"We have a working theory as to the cause of this but more testing is needed." (of course this would be more effective worn over a pregnant belly but alas those days are over :()

And on the back it will read,
"Yes I do get enough protein, thanks for your concern." :D

Oh, my favorite is the ones who think COWS Milk is actually good for you!!! Humans are the only "animals" who drink milk from another "animal"!!! And, it tastes DISGUSTING!!! Almond milk is SOOO much better tasting and is SOOO good!!!!

And, cows milk STINKS too!!! YUK!!!

Cows Milk...Does the body BADD!!!! :(

Cute dog!!!!! Of course I was referring to the animals who actually do survive on veggies alone. They prove that we CAN actually live on veggies alone. Especially those in the wild...who live on veggies...
