I just turned to Ugly Betty and her boss (what's his name again?) is eating raw food, alkaline (?) water and talking about cleansing.

Of course, they are questioning his behavior and calling him loopy, lol!

I saw that episode too!! I'm happy that the raw diet is getting some notice no matter who the sponsers are. If it makes one person find out more about going raw then it's worth it. As they say "Rome wasn't built in a day."

Does anyone know of any celebrities on the raw diet? I know that a guy that was on MTV Real World is. And also Woody Harrelson but he's also a supporter of smoking pot which I don't agree with.

It always amazes me how FRIGHTENED and INTIMIDATED people are by Fruits and Veggies... one of my coworker's wives questioned me last night, saying, "Isn't that a really DIFFICULT way to eat and live!?"

I told her no! For me, it's actually the SIMPLEST way to live because when I'm eating RAW, I'm healthy - strong - energized - and HAPPY! What better way to live?? :D

I find that people are fascinated by my raw food diet. I think because it's not a mainstream diet yet that people are inquisitive about it. I try to be patient and just explain it to them. Obviously they see it's not harmful to me because I'm still alive. :)

I've learned to pace my responses. :D Three years ago when I first discovered RAW and went 100% for several months, I found that most of my friends were really concerned about me... I didn't know much about the Diet, and ended up going off it because a mis-informed Doctor and my former boyfriend convinced me that "humans NEED meat". :D

Now, I've got three years of trial-and-error, experimentation, reading and researching, meetings numerous Rawbies, and being a part of these Boards (Green_Woman is my "new" handle here) to keep me strong.

Plus - I've got you guys. :D

I LOVE RAW!
