Hi everyone. Sorry it took so long for me to write this, I've been very busy over the past month.:D
I've been doing the raw food diet since 2004 (not 100% the whole time), and I've been vegan since 2003. I went raw after reading "Nature's First Law: The Raw Food Diet" by David Wolfe, Stephan Arlin, and R.C. Dini. For everyone who's never read it, it's a really extreme, super-hard-core book. They literally ended every chapter with "Cooked food is poison". I loved the book, and was an instant convert. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to keep up enough enthusiasm to stay 100% raw all the time. But hey, I'm still eating better than most people.:)
I live in Toronto, and used to go to the raw community hub, Toronto Sprouts, all the time. Unfortunately, they moved to another part of the city a few months back, and because of some problems, they're still not open. How many other Torontonians are unhappy about this? :(
I'm still very young (turning 20 in the new year). I got my Living on Live Food Level 1 Chef Certification in 2007, and plan on becoming a Holistic Nutritionist. I absolutely love Alissa's book, and would recommend it to anyone interested in raw food.
Aside from raw food, my addictions include: music, movies, shopping, reading my horoscope, and hanging out with friends. (In my own defense, I'm not a spendaholic, and I watch movies from the library).
