Am planning a really special eve in NYC. Looking for a lovely raw restaurant with beautiful ambiance.
Its been awhile since I've been back...
Also during the day I'll be looking for things too...but the nice diner is really important... ideas, reviews, etc ?

Thanks:)

Thanks JennaHoneyBear,

This was the 1st place i thought of too...however this same friend went there before and was a bit critical of it???
I wonder if there is another place as nice..its this sort of thing i am looking for though.

I've eaten at Quintessence (http://www.raw-q.com/) and quite enjoyed the food.

Not sure how many are in your party, as the restaurant is quite small. However, it's nestled in a quaint spot in the East Village, so it will make for a pleasurable night out.

Care4raw, I second Johnny B. Quintessence was a very lovely restaurant. All the servers were pleasant, and the food was great. I got 3 things!

Good luck in finding the perfect place! :)

Pure in NYC is great! I just went there a couple weekends ago while in town for NYC marathon. Make a reservation. It was packed on a monday night. Also, as a tip, it is a basement restaurant and hard for your cab to see from the street. We passed it several times before finding it. Overall I thought it was good. About $50-$60 per person. I wanted to try it because the book "Everyday Raw" is amazing and extremely creative. Have fun and let us all know where you ate!
