Well, I thought I'd wait until I made it through the whole day - and I did. No food, no water - nothing! I feel a bit sleepy but it is getting on - almost nine. I don't have a specific plan as to how long I want to do this. Maybe only one more day? Not sure. I felt fine all day. Had plenty of energy. I went for my walk and did lots of work I needed to finish. Planned my husband's meals for the week which will make it easier to make my own. I just wanted a break from food and thinking about making it for myself. I have read quite a bit about this type of fast and am not afraid of it. I am not vomiting, or feeling lightheaded and don't think I am going to die!
I even had a good bm this morning. I guess I want to get cleaned up inside as best as I can and as quickly as I can. But I know that it will take time and a few fasts. I am also going to stop eating mid-afternoons too when I eat again. I sleep very well when I do that. I just remembered why I needed to fast. I've had a lot of nuts (some soaked too) this past week, but I don't sleep as well if I have them late in the day. So I have to re-arrange.
Only side effect - was pretty cold around husband's suppertime. Now I've warmed up again - could be simply because the furnace was off until the sun went down. It was a warm sunny day. Tonya Zavasta has written about dry fasting and so has Herbert Shelton. I have done this before over the past couple of months. There were some days when I was pretty tired while doing it. Then I simply rested as much as I could.
Sue.
