Recurrent dreams about eating cooked food......?

It happened a couple of times last month, but I kinda forgot.

I have not eaten meat for more than 36 years and would absolutely not want to eat any but I have dreamt that I was doing just that.

wow! I too have not consumed meat in close to 40 years but have never dreamed of it...thank goodness...! dunno what that is about?

I'm 23 years with the "no meat" - it was actually dreaming of eating raw meat with blood dripping down my neck that made me go veggie in the first place.

Don't think I've dreamt of it since though.....

I've had varied meat inclusions in my dreams, ranging from casual to like, total dark bunk dreams. Casual being, I'll be eating dinner with my family and eating some macaroni and hot dogs or somethin' like that like it was nothing... sometimes noticing "hey wait a minute why am I eating this", sometimes not.

A couple dark dreams I remember: First one, some of my family were eating meat, me and my bro were not... we are the only ones in our family who dont eat meat, afterall. But for some reason my bro asked me if I ate some of the meat, to which I said no... so as I turned away from him a chunk of meat fell out of my mouth. And for some reason, in the dream, I felt guilty even though I didn't have anything to do with it being in my mouth... the underpants gnomes must've put it in or some'n.

And another even more darker dream... I can't remember most of it but it was one of those dreams that's packed with anxiety and confusion, anyway, there was a part where my brother was digging into raw meat like a carnivorous fiend. It kinda bugged me for a bit even after waking up, dreams can have mad impact.

I've been meatless for I think like two years by the way. Iunno the basis for these kind of dreams, but don't fear, they are typical for e'rybody.

Sometimes, dreams are just a recollection of our memories or the past.
When I first read this, my impression was that the dreams is to not hang onto and let go of cooked food sort of a thing..

I always have dreams where I am at a party or something and I am accidentally eating or about to eat SAD food and I feel very conflicted and freaked out about it in the dream. Happens all the time in my dreams!

It happened again last night!!!

This is seriously freaking me out! It's just too weird.

In the dream, all that cooked carb was in my molars, and I was trying to dislodge it with my tongue, when I woke up - confused - I had to keep feeling around with my tongue to know it wasn't there....

Okay, so I've dreamed that I'm secretly eating SAD food in the middle of the night. Sometimes it's so real that I feel really guilty when I wake up! Once I had to go check to make sure the culprit food was still there! I think I dream this way when my "healthy raw" gets off track and I start eating easier dishes that are heavier in nuts/seeds/oils, etc.... I'm juicing right now and all I've been dreaming about is the food i'm making next week for Thanksgiving... Yesterday I made my family eggs and then i started craving them. I've always had issues with eating eggs, so i'm not sure why i'd crave them!

I don't have meat dreams but I do occasionally dream about eating things I used to actually enjoy on SAD. I had just such a dream a few weeks ago - I was chomping down on a burrito and corn chips! I woke up thinking I had blown my 100% Challenge. :eek:

Many dreams I am forced to take quite seriously... these food dreams, I just laugh at and let go. :D

I've had cake dreams. Not raw cake, but real decorated cakes. Although in real life I find cakes to be pretty and I even like decorating them, I have never liked to eat them. In fact I am allergic to them. But I still have had dreams that I have a cake in the kitchen or that I'm flying over a field of cakes. I dunno.

Wow, some of those really sound like nightmares! :eek:

The only food related dream I ever have is about me being a puppy dog and my wife (still a human) is rubbing my tummy and ears and gives me fresh coconut water (still in the shell) to drink and I feel so very happy! :)

Sorta like dog heaven! :D

I actually dreamt last night that I MICROWAVED food!

Then, when it finished (it was vegetables,btw) i pulled it out of the micro and said "Oh ya, I don't eat microwaved food. it will make me sick. OH WELL" and then had intentions to EAT IT!
