COOL! Why do you want to strain your juices? The fiber is very good for one's body...
Did ReneeH's testimony inspire you?

Looks good!! You may not need at much as you'd think as you go on. I've noticed that my produce will last longer now!!
Do you have a netti pot for the sinuses? It's good to cleanse with warm salt water. If you don't have one, you can squirt some up there with a syringe or something. It's also good to kill viruses. We cleanse our 2x day.

Best of luck and good health to you!
I was in the Bahamas last April and a native told me that the Bahamas imports virtually all its produce, so it is very expensive. Is that the case in Jamaica also? I guess I thought with the warm climate you could grow all the stuff you wanted year round.

ooh no... we do import a lot because a lot Jamaicans are americanized to the point where they prefer to eat american. like for example kraft singles vs tastee singles (a Jamaican company)... most ppl would buy kraft.
we do have imported vegetables, fruits etc even though we grow the same things locally. so that competition for the farmers, but that is the case (mostly) for places "uptown" where the people are rich and fancy. i went to the market to buy a lot of my stuff today so its all organic, grown by small farmers.
dont get me wrong, some things have to be imported for example the apples i bought today were your type of apples (vs our apples aka the Ottaheite apple) and things like red cabbages, pears, plums and the ZUCCHINI that i am yet to find!!! all those things have to be imported because they are shortages here or they are not grown here.
i seriously dunno about bahamas, never been there and i dunno anyone from there. i would think that since the islands are so tiny it may be difficult, maybe the climate isnt favourable for everything to be grown there, and do they have hills or is it flat? thats also a factor i think. Grand cayman is 100% flat.. i think that would affect and limit what can be grown there

Get Alissa's book! A great 30 day plan with recipes. Great recipes - almost 300 of them. And join us in the Food Section, Recipes, Alissa and Annie thread where I am uncooking every recipe in Alissa's book. Lots of inspiration there - all started by Renee! (Check out her Sticky!)

I dunno if i did something wrong, but i feel horrible. i just ate a salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, apple, bell pepper, and a lil raisin) and i feel so gross. like could puke it out! i always ate this salad and loved it so i dunno why its bothering me now. the only difference is i am not using my french dressing.
and its not just after the salad, i have a green smoothie this morning and i feel sick after that too. i felt extremely dehydrated after, and my head felt a little light like i was going to faint.
god, i think i used way too much greens in that smoothie cause seriously it was like drinking a flavoured lawn.. u blended a banana, an apple, and orange and some callaloo... i guess its just a matter of getting used to the green taste but seriously...i dunno why i felt sick afterwards? i am wondering if its a brain thing

Drink some water and lemon and ginger. It will sooth your tummy. ARE you drinking water normally?
Start out slow with the GS's. Let your body get used to them...

Sounds like you are having some detox issues. Hang in there and get past it. It gets better.

I found that if I squeeze some lemon into my green smootheis I don't get that nauseous feeling. Oh and I like the taste better too. I believe I read somewhere that you are suppose to add the lemon to your smoothies-Green for life- maybe?
