I've been super bloated lately....I was thinking it was because my cycle was due well I'm past that point. So I am begining to think it's b/c I haven't been soaking my nuts all the time. When I went to the bathroom my bm was floating & I know that's a sign I'm not digesting my fat properly.

I've been feeling like I need to detox, do you think this could be my body's way of telling me to detox?

I'm starting to take digestive enzymes to help out, uuuugggghhh I hate this feeling!!!

Any thoughts are appreciated

Katie P, nuts are very hard on the digestion. It is suggested to soak most nuts and dry them back out if you want them crunchy or have a recipe for the flour of them or whatever.

I love it when it floats. I am concerned when it sinks like a rock.

Enzymes are great. I took them when beginning raw and could use them even now. I also eat fermented foods for that as well and mostly LOTSA GREEN JUICE!

Bloating is sometimes caused by improper food combining. We have info on that here. Say if you have an all fruit type day and then some light veggies at dinner, you will see a difference. Might even be too much food.

Check it out and experiment and see. Oh and i owuld clean my colon with this. It is sometimes due to eating at night too and undigested food going into the next day.

Improper food combining will bloat me big time so I started eating simple and no problems. I limit nuts or goumet raw to special times. Alissa has a section in her book on food combining and there are others charts on the net too.

Ugh, I'm having some issues too. I think it was because I have been having some cooked foods last two days. Yesterday a lot of cabbage soup and today a buckwheat porridge.
I'm noticing that less cooked foods surely makes me feel better, so I will minimize cooked foods from now on.

What helps to bloated feeling is drinking lots of water during the day, some flax seeds before sleep, and rejuvelac helps wonderfully too.

I've been suffering too - espically Saturday night which I think was a food combinig thing - I ate dried pineapple AFTER eating Sunny Pate with tomatoes and some Marinara. Mistake!! Digestion is still not back to normal :o

Seeing info on soaking nuts - it this also true if nuts are being used in a recepie as opposed to eating plain? I ask becasue I have been devouring Bluberry Pie and there are almonds in the crust I didn't soak.....

Yeah, ya know I was thinking that I've had raisins & dried bananas & apricots & I think that might also be having an effect on me. Most of the times I had nuts with them too!

You don't think my health is reversing do you? Anytime I get bloated I kinda freak out b/c I don't get it! I think since I eat raw that I should be able to handle food better but apparently it likes things simple

Katie P. my body always wanted simple from the beginning. When I eat the recipes and also when I go to the raw food places, I end up so full feeling and my body chugs right down as if I ate cooked....yet I feel blissed out in a way.

I see it best, for me, to soak all nuts, recipe or not.In a recipe it doesnt take out their indigestibility. I would say it increases that as it is combined with other ingredients and thus heavier.

I need light foods often. Otherwise I feel all puffy and full...ugh.
I like what my body likes though so its cool..hahaha
