I'm starting tomorrow and I'm going grocery shopping. What items should I add onto my list? I'm hoping that this will ease me into raw foodism because it's really hard for me to break my bad habits right now. How many times per day should I eat, etc?

Hey paper! this is your journey. do you have alissa's book? she outlines a shopping list and menus not to mention recipes. if you don't just buy what you will eat. do you have a blender. a food processor? if yes then you already are off to a good start. if no buy fruits and veggies you will eat and like...salads are gr8 as are smoothies...

No, I don't have her book :( but I do have a food processor and blender. I tried the green smoothies and liked it, anything else? I plan to buy dried fruit, grains, and nuts. I'm at a lost otherwise.

Well...be cautious buying dried fruit...watch out for sulfur dioxide - they use that sometimes in dried fruits as a preservative. it is listed if it is used.
do a search here for recipes since you don't have alissa's book...

Definitely find a way to get a copy of Alissa's book. You wouldn't try to start up a car without first reading the driver's manual that shows you the basics, right? Well, I strongly suggest you get a copy of Alissa's book and she will walk you simply, easily, and ENJOYABLY through the basics...!!!

It will be the best investment of $$ you make in your RAW journey, in my not so humble opinion.

Also, don't buy more than you think you will eat in 3-4 days. The biggest mistake I repeatedly made when I first went 80% RAW nearly four years ago, was that I bought WAY too much food to start off with and only ate part of it... I ended up spending lots of money on food that didn't last, and went off RAW for awhile because of "budget concerns" instead of realising I needed to learn to PLAY IT SMART with the budget. ;)
