It's plain & simple. I don't wanna eat past 6 p.m., but I need help. For some reason it's hard for me. I typically go to bed anywhere from 9-10. If I don't eat past 6 I'll go to bed empty & possibly hungry....but that's what I want. I'm trying to detox & want to eat lighter @ dinner & go to bed hungry.

I need some support so feel free to encourage or join me :)

Try filling up on water instead of food. Eat your "heavy" meal around 1:00 in the afternoon then something lighter around 4 or 5...like veggies n dip...fruit...

DopeRawAbundance- the reason for me wanting to eat lighter @ night is b/c my body does best a little empty, yeah if I'm starving I won't be able to sleep but that's not what I'm striving for. I want to be empty. Also, I work out first thing in the morning so eating after a hard workout is kind of essential :)

Katie P, The body worker cells that heal, fix and repair when you sleep like to do just that.

WHen you eat anything after six, you lie down, and they say "hmmmmm what are we going to work on tonight? Shall we repair a bunch of stuff, throw stuff out and clean house, or make some really cool new fresh things to make this body all go a lot smoother? Hmmmm UT OH there is a bunch of food just cam down here. Look at it. This will take all night and we wont ever get it done by morning because Katie P is asleep and we all move sooooo slow. Then the food will be here for us to take care of tommorow. And this place may even be full of gas!!!"

So they begin their big job of the food and not the healing. How much help are you willing to give them????

This always inspires me to not eat after six!!! Hope it helps you.

When I brush my teeth earlier, I have a hard time having food after that. Maybe that would work for you too.

why not try 'weaning' yourself first? if making the jump to 6pm is too hard for you (like it is for me!) try making it 8pm...then 7pm and then eventually 6pm. that way you kind of get used to not eating after a certain time, then just make it earlier. You could even do it by the half-hour. I had to do that! right now I'm at no eating past 10:00pm...

You guys are AWESOME!!!!! Thanks sooo much for the advice & encouragement.
RawRawks----I sooooo appreciated that! It's like stuff I already know but hearing it from someone else makes it much more real!

I didn't eat past 6 last night & I felt soooo good :) I went to bed empty, slightly hungry & woke up feeling refreshed! I had a great workout & was ready to eat a big breakfast when I finished!

THanks guys!!!!

RawRawks.....so last night I ate a banana @ like 6:45---that was my dinner. I knew I would be going to bed early so I really didn't want to eat anything more. Your words echoed in my head & TOTALLY helped me not even want to eat anything else even though I was still a little hungry!

SO THANK YOU!

before 6 wow that's early. maybe a backrub or message from someone special?:) or a good book or movie, or best yet Alissa's book the section on before and afters, not the receipe section... perhaps a meditation cd.. good luck:D
