Yes, I feel I took a step in the right direction.
I fulled up a trash can of junk foods I have had in my house. I really felt guilty but as I lifted that bag I felt that if Ihad eaten it that may have been weight added to me. Its a cycle I go threw. I wish it would stop. I struggle with the addiction to sugar. It is the most difficult thing I have ever done. But I did take me "first step".
I feel better getting all that stuff out of my house. I have a few more things to get rid of but the worst is out. Sugar is a awful addiction. It is killing me.
Has anyone battled this before?
Is their a addiction group here?

I have battled a sugar addiction. It was very very difficult to kick. My weakness was hard candy. I would eat piece after piece after piece at work. I did go through some tough withdrawl...like headaches, body aches and even night shivers, but I got through it. It's not easy but you seem very determined. You've made the first step...you can get through it!!

I always loved candy and sweets. A green smoothie (blenderfull) a day too away ALL my cravings!! Amazing stuff.

The best way to beat a sugar addiction is to eat the right kind of sugars, in fresh fruits.

Congratulations to your first step!!! Well done :) You can do it, it's a question of a mindset,-got nothing to do with the will power. Change your thoughts (which you started doing already) and you can change your life really fast. Enjoy!

Congrats!! That first step, and the first couple of days, are the hardest... soon enough, you'll be disgusted at the thought of the stuff you used to crave!

That IS the first step. Next you'll take another step, then another and another and before you know it, you'll be RUNNING! Running down that path to health at full speed. YOU GO!

Welcome and Congratulations on taking such a huge first step forward!

Cleaning out the cupboards of life-depleting foods is so crucial to staying the course on this wonderful healing journey!!! Well done!!!

Now is the time to stock up, fill the bowls, and fridge with fresh ripe fruits, and veggies, and seeds, and other raw goodies.

I second many of the suggestions already given:
Fresh fruits are a great way to deal with sweet cravings!
Green Smoothies also take care of sweet cravings! Give them a try if you haven't yet.

Try out new fruits you have never eaten before.
Throw some luscious fruit, baby spinach and a banana into the blender and drink up some delectable goodness!

I love mango and baby spinach smoothies!
I love any smoothie with banana, berries and greens!

This time of year I do rely on a lot of frozen berries, with organic bananas and greens to get me through the morning in the form of a tasty Green Smoothie!!

Many blessings to you and check out the Raw food Recipe section for ideas on green smoothies, raw healthy desserts, and raw food cuisine in general.
