Does anyone have a tendency towards gas with raw, possibly due to having more fiber? What do you do for it? I'm drinking more water and jumping on my rebounder, but I'm also looking for suggestions.
Thanks..

A cup of strong peppermint tea does wonders for gas. I have given it to post-surgical patients who have that horrible painful gas you only get after surgery and have had very grateful patients!
I will use two teabags and let it steep for 10 minutes and thell them to drink it right down.
For "regular" gas, just one cup after meals or with meals would probably do the trick.
Funny, since going raw I have very little gas. Opposite of most people it would seem.

I have found that when I take probiotics I get a lot of gas and when I skip them I am fine so now I skip it entirely.
Anyone want some unused probiotics.
I would suggest that you keep a food diary and check to see if there is a cause.

I second that, you can learn a lot about yourself and the certain "thing" that is being tracked in your dairy, its beautiful ;) Be it food, exercise, music, colours, whatever.

Gas is created when the foods consumed are fermenting(unless you have had surgery. This is due to improper food combining. Fruits put in with other foods create ferment.
So its important to not mix things together that dont combime well.
If I ever get gas, I take charcoal tabs.

I agree that fermentation cans lead to gas and also bacteria/yeast.
For now, i would focus to reduce fermentation.
1-Chew well (if not, it won't get digest and rot in your gut)
2-Make sure to digest your meal well before eating something else, especially fruits
3-Unless you do recipes, eat your fruits alone. General rule is half hour to digest, but i recommend 40-45 min. So wait this amount of time before eating something else.
4-Listen to your body. I found for myself that i cannot combine honey with banana. I cannot combine orange with any fruits but this is my experience, you need to find out what works for you.
I use to have so much gas, i am happy to report that i rarely experience that now.
I would consider to take therapeutic enzyme. They are expensive but so powerful and heal many thing.
I would focus on fermentation first then consider to look into restoring the flora in your guts.
