It is so much easier to get your greens when they are delicious. Blending your smoothies in a high-speed blender like the Vitamix makes the best smoothies. It actually turns everything that you put into the blender into a new food. While it is sometimes difficult to digest several different foods at once, the Vitamix eases digestion by homogenizing the ingredients.

thanks for the list! i'm definitely going to try some of these out. I think that drinking great fruits and veggies every day helps keep you very conscious of a healthy lifestyle, not to mention, saves on my dental plan (http://www.goldenrule.com/health/dental.shtml). I have to say though, when it comes to smoothies, nothing beats the good ol strawberry and banana for me.

You can use whatever you want. Recipes are only a guide. Substitute for what you have.

I loved this, check out Victoria Boutenko singing this cute smoothie song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN1X0zchLiw&feature=player_embedded#!

I went searching for more information about reading this very informative article:
"Is it important to be all raw?" - http://www.rawbc.org/articles/allraw.html

Then I found this information from Brian Clement (who's right??):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwyPfZeVmlA&feature=related
He claims that smoothies made in blenders are no good; that oxidation kills a lot of nutrients (??)

I'm now confused. Everyone sounds right ...

These are WONDERFUL!!

May I share these green smoothie recipes with people who attend my raw food classes? If so, who do I credit the recipes to?

it is a sticky...

Oh, I see.......I was looking in the Recipes Section. Seems a little out of place here since I don't see Smoothies as being in any of these categories. Thanks for pointing this out.

bleh... i just learned the hard way not to "peel" a lime and throw it in the blender for green smoothies. The fiber is so much tougher than other citrus. Gross! Lime juice it is!

what kind of blender did you use? i put them in my vita-mix often with no problems.

well, to be fair it was kind of an odd lime. you know the kind: hard and not juicy. I'll just juice the sucker with my lemon press!

My Brother-in-Law told me yesterday that he's lost [B]14 pounds[B] from eating a Green Smoothie for Breakfast, one for Lunch, and a meal for dinner since I introduced them to my last RAW Demo he attended!!!! He's not completely RAW...but he's on his way!!!! Cool, huh!!! :)

Now that is cool! It really is a great deal not to force raw instantly to your life, it is much easier to incorporate it slowly such as tryign out smoothies initially. Also setting reasonable goals can go a long way.

Wow, these are so plenty of smoothies to try with. Actually, I love smoothies, I have a hard time doing this at home so I prefer to buy outside. I would love to do this at home and experiment what's inside my fridge and a perfect combination will make it better.

It is really happy to go raw! These smoothies are sure to suit my taste buds. I love fruits and vegetables. I really want salads as snack.

That is Green Smoothies and Raw Foods,I tend to use less fruit, about 30% fruit and 70% greens, because I eat so much fruit the rest of the day.
