For those who haven't enjoyed one of the simplest yet dopest raw delicacies yet, try it now if you really want proof life exists. It's as simple as scooping cocoa powder into a bowl, and adding olive oil/stirring until you have a cocoa sauce. Bananas are already sugarpacked but you can add additional sweetener if you're feeling particularly naughty. Now grab a banana and bask in tastebud paradise.

In the batch pictured above I had no olive oil on hand so I melted some coconut oil (set on warm surface like fridgetop until liquidated), then stirred in carob powder. Wowdoperawnuts. That's my only way of expressing how it incredible it tasted without going into cussing territory.

Coconut Oil is indeed amazing, Olive Oil/Cocoa Powder is merely the OG recipe, other oil and powder combos are encouraged. Adding carob to the mix inserts a caramel kick, I'm thinkin half carob half cocoa mixed with your choice of oil would be divine.

OMG. I love the simplest recipes like this one!

I am filing this in my mental bank of "What to do when I need a sugar fix!"

I agree that coconut oil does sound even better than olive oil for this recipe.

Good idea. Or hemp hearts would be delicious too, I'll bet.

Alright alright DopeRaw has had enough of cats dissing on the olive oil iteration. I've went through times of no electricity sittin' out on the porch dipping 'nanas in cocoa/olive oil mixture, this has been stored in my nostalgia bone. I form no schemas on what goes with what foodwise, I'll mix the most unlikely of ingredients and enjoy it. Chocolate peppers? Check. Basil Bananas? Sounds dope iunno bring it on.

I like the taste of olive oil... and cocoa! I even have the extra "fruity" oil and think it is yummy! <3 each to their own though. I have tried coconut oil once and probably will never buy it again. I think it was rancid... it smelt kind of like vomit. So yeah... I got off that buzz pretty quick!

I make mine with agave, too, and like it. It's great on all kinds of fruit. Chocolate strawberries............yum!
