Ok so i started running and walking for about 5 days(i always walked though) i have stubborn thighs and was the main reason for my running, but my pants are getting tighter!:(
Please do not tell me to love my body the way it is or about genes...:)i know what my bod is like and such n such!!!. I am on a raw food diet, im not very big on nuts and all i like avocadoes but dont eat them all the time basically my diet is pretty balanced

Would walking more be better then use running later to tone up my legs? or is it normal to gain some weight becasue of muscle building then as you keep running lose some fat?.....i been getting mixed answers (no im not tryning to be skinny, jus regular like i used to be!)

THANKS!:D

I dont really have any advice on this except that if it were the opposie way round you would hate it too! I have tiny legs and a big stomach and rib cage. I think I look like a malformed lollypop where they accidentally gave it 2 sticks!

:D I'm sorry I dont have any definitve exercises to recommend. Squats maybe for muscle... we are always our own harshest critics.

As a lifelong exerciser I can honestly say you have to give it time . . . be patient with yourself and your body .

If you continue running, you will get leaner, but it will take some time for your body to adjust.

Keep up the good work!

um, keep running! and, no -- weight gain after 5 days if not from building muscle. it just doesn't happen that fast. could just be water retention or something. running is a really great wait to change your body. i have muscular legs and run. my legs remain muscular, but in a strong, defined kind of way. keep at it! "they" say that you have to wait about three months to really see the diiference that a new exercise routine makes. good luck!

Theighs are the Natural Strongest Muscle in a Woman Body. If there is too much Fat, they will rub together. Working out will Shape them but they will Never be just stick skinny unless you are really underweight. Women often complain of their Theighs but that's just the way we are Built. That is where you house all the Muscles that will make you a Strong Runner.

So RUN and your Body will do the Rest. Embrace the Changes when you see them.

Running also causes inflammation from lactic acid build-up etc...I ALWAYS "puff up" after a long run or increase in training so it may just be your body's inflammatory response! Keep running and eat some pineapple! The bromalean will help with inflammation! I ate an ENTIRE one today after a 16 mile run! (I was craving it!)

As a raw vegan and running/walking coach I know that many of my new runners see and initial "swelling of the legs or butt or other parts as new muscle forms, more blood russhes to the area BUT also they see it level off and eventually return to normal size and if there is fat in the area then they will start shrinking.

Legs that are tighter after 5 days can be caused by:

1) excess blood ( from the pump), fluid with attendant lactic acid and other salts causing a bloat

2) muscle growth and or swelling from the exercise so they grow and other flesh is still there.

Keep doing it, eating properly and see the benefit.
