I just got my copy of Alissa's book in the mail today, and I want to just jump on in with the recipes as I read through it. I want to attempt a recipe for tomorrow's supper (I have a good routine down for breakfast, lunch, and snacks) But after leafing through the book, I can't decide what to make first. lol Someone tell me what to make first please!

The best one (at least right now) that I am totally in love with is Alissa's Raw lasagna.
It is unbelievably delicious!!!!! The absolute Best!!!:p
ANd it is not as hard as it looks and it can be made simpler if you like.
I only make one of the sauces, and only the ricotta cheese, and i still ADORE and LOVE it to bits, without the added sauce and cheese.
Give it a try! I think you will fall in love!:D:)

I vote for the enchilada as well. It was the first thing I made and I'm still in love with it. The second thing I made was the collard green wrap and I'm still in love with that one as well.
Oh, so many choices!!!!

Oooooh yeah, I was going to say the enchiladas too, if you have a dehydrator. The corn tortillas are so easy and so good. I do cut them differently from the recipe directions though. I cut them into four squares and I find that to be just the right size, holding plenty of filling but going twice as far.

If u don't have a dehydrator, try making Alissa's Zucchini Pasta w marinara sauce!!!! It's da Bomb!!!!!! Or make Alissa's Corn chowder!!!! Or make Alissa's Nori Rolls, or make her Marinated Mushrooms w Salad!!!! The choices are endless!!!
Remember to have fun w ur food!!!!!

I have a dehydrator, but no blender or food processor (I keep burning up those two appliances, hubby said he'll get me both this upcoming weekend with it being payday) So whatever I make I have to be able to chop, slice, whatever by hand.

Non-dehydrator recipes I enjoy:
Zucchini Pasta and Marinara Sauce
The Indian Spinach
Corn Chowder
For Salads:
Waldorf salad, and the Sweet and Sour Coleslaw.
Some of Alissa's Great Dehydrator Recipes
Lasagna _ A MUST!!!!!!:p
Carrot-Pecan Burgers
Chicken-un Patties
BBQ Chicken Fingers
ENJOY it all! There are so many wonderful recipes in her book, you can't go wrong. Let us know how it goes. I am always inspired to try new recipes when I hear reports back. (Thanks, Renee for inspiring me to try the Lasagna. I am now in need of the RAW Lasagnaholics Chapter in my local area. lol)

Doesn't almost everything need a food processor or blender? I think one of Alissa's easiest dehydrator recipes is the Crepes. I have yet to make the filling and sauce. I'm always eating the banana crepes plain. Next time I will have to make the filling and sauce before I make the crepes. :)

Try the Spicy Fries. No blender or food processor required.
You could also make the Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms if you chopped the pesto ingredients finely and mixed by hand.

I'm working my way through Alissa's book (in the Food area, recipes section, Alissa and Annie thread) and yesterday I made the Tomato, Mushroom, Basil Salad on Pg 450. It was scrumptious!
The Kale Salad on Pg 456 is really good, and doesn't require any special equipment either.
When you get your blender and food processor, get the best so you don't burn them up. That means a Vita-Mix or BlendTec blender, and a Cuisenart or Kitchen Aid food processor. I can't say this strongly enough! The cheap stuff doesn't hold up to raw food.
Have fun. I'm having a ball working through the recipes!
