Hi everyone.... I feel my moods getting lighter and better. I thought I was pretty easy going until someone upset me. But eating more and more raw foods has taught me to be more patient with my son and husband. At work I deal with a lot of impatient customers and egostitical supervisors. It's still trying, but I feel raw foods have given me insight. Like wow, I don't want to act like that person, and then I see them eating greasy food in the breakroom. Does anyone else feel that raw foods help you cope better and be a happier person??

i can't tell you 100% that it has. how do i know this for certain? if i eat something SAD... i see how different i am the next day. i'm impatient, grumpy... a short fuse compared to my usual self.

i even notice my meditations are deeper when i'm raw (and even deeper when i'm fasting). i feel more centered during yoga - more connected when i'm out walking.

who knew it was like a spiritual experience to eat simply!

This is one of the main reasons I know I will stay raw - I work in a very stressful environment, and eating this way makes my job much more tolerable. My stress level has gone down significantly, I don't feel overwhelmed as easily, and I can bounce back quicker when I do feel down. Also, I feel like I'm happier overall, in a better mood around my husband, etc.

I love it!

thanks Vegansara. I agree. I think a lot of mean people show go to raw food detox, and become nice.

I feel lighter all around. It does take me longer to 'lose it', I try to politely divert it but if others refuse then when it hits, it's not pretty.

I would say that it has, because I feel better and have more energy to cope with the difficult things in life.

After eating this way for some time, there is so much to be happy about.
I'm happy about the fact that I wake up with no trouble at all, running around with energy all day and every day without any desire for a nap, way more focus than ever, no more effect of the high and lows of caffeine, sugar, and other chemicals in processed food now these days, feeling stronger than before when I exercise, discovering new flavors from a new recipe, and feeling like a kid again.

Yes it does!!

When I was in high school, I was sooo angry and angsty. I was racist and ignorant about the world. I hated vegetarians and vegans and swore I would never be one

...

Yes, it makes a difference. I was borderline depressed before going raw. Not anymore!

I read in a raw book (can't remember which one) that a test was done in a prison. Inmates put on a raw diet lost tendencies toward violence. One school of thought on that was that when you are not eating animal products you are not absorbing the bad karma from the animals suffering. The other was simply that the nutrition from raw makes everything work better and calms the mind. I tend to think there is something to both of those theories.

Oh my goodness does it? WOW! You figure over 50 plus years of being so sick with migraines and then 6 years before going 100% Raw being diagnosed with a non-funtioning thyroid, once feeling healthy, how could it not me me a happier person?
Plus it is not ONLY about the physical feelings of going raw but the mental feelings. It goes together. When you are healthy it shows! You GLOW baby!

wow, thanks everyone for the input. I have been noticing i feel a lot better, yet i think i am experiencing emotional detox. It's wierd. I dream of things that happened 10-20 years ago and sometimes when i was 5 or 6 years old. (I'm over 40 now) and I feel like I am that age again until I wake up. Am i fixing problems? I don't know I guess I can only hope for the best. ;)
