Can we all list as many raw, whole, fresh foods we can use in salads? I really want along list as possible, so there can be plenty of variety of ingredients used each day in a daily salad, and pick and chose what foods to put in it rather than going for a recipe somewhere.
So.. I will start ... salady foods:
tomatoes
cucumbers
celery
radishes
beetroot
carrot
avocado
corguette
bell peppers
... and this is where i usually get stuck!! I cannot have good daily rotating salads with just 10 or so different foods! Can anyone name more?

Any veggie in the house!
Some of my other favorite toppers are:
pine nuts
spicy pumpkin seeds
mesquite walnuts
glazed pecans
chopped dates
chopped dried figs
cheezy kale chips
nutritional yeast
I used to make huge bowls of salad with 10 or more veggies. Lately I want simpler salads. Like:
Red or green leaf lettuce
olive oil
hemp seeds
nutritional yeast
pinch of good salt
or
Butter lettuce
pecans or hazelnuts
green scallions or red onion
chopped dates
Dressing made with lemon juice, olive oil, honey, garlic, ginger, and salt
Variety is what I like most!

You have gotten a lot of great replies. I wanted to add that you can experience a "different" salad, even using the same ingredients just by switching up your dressing. There are so many options for dressing and that really changes the flavor of the salad. I made a super yummy dressing using a mango, some apple cider vinegar and basil. It was awesome! The possibilities are endless!
Good luck. :)

My favorite salad right now is
spinach
grapes
yellow onions
with a cashew-ginger dressing
(from Matthew Kenney's book, Entertaining in the Raw)
1 cup cashews
3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons ginger
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
I made it without the salt and it was still very good.
