I have been doing the keeping things for "what if" for months and since I have been juice fasting I have been having a peek to see if anything yummy has got in there.... Still just SAD crap.

Well I broke my juice fast tonight and had some cooked soup that was in my freezer. I AM SO MAD AT MYSELF  It is like how to undo hard work in one easy step. So there I go... out of the 30 day challenge and some of the benefits from my juice fast gone.

That being said... it was a learning curve. I learnt that it was about time to clean out my cupboard.

I also learnt that I am still to a huge extent an emotional eater/eat when I feel inadequate (I have been unwell and studying for exams which isnt a good mix)

ANYWAY, enough excuses. Tomorrow I am back on the wagon, breaking my fast slowly and rawly.

:(

but looking foreward to what is ahead...

:p

Thanks so much Rachiel!

Welcome to being human! Percy and I found that it is very important what we buy and bring home that makes a huge difference in being raw.

I had a left over can of vegan re-fried beans. I was doing great, then suddenly got that can and oh my gosh, went to the store next door and bought some eggs and cooked it up with some steamed tomatoes. What a lot of people would call a "healthy meal." Before I finished eating it I hurt. The next morning I was in serious pain (near take me to the hospital pain!). Three days later, still in pain. A week later, just started to feel a little normal. ONE MEAL! No meat!

My wife called that one meal "The Experiment!" She said I learned more from that one meal than everything else I learned about raw food. One thing I learned, I would NEVER do that again!

Maybe we should tell people when they start on raw food to empty their pantry! Make the commitment. No retreat! Put some mung beans and millet in jars to sprout later...

Of course, it is harder to be raw with cookies in the house! (Cookies = Cooked Ingested Eaters)

For a while I made my own separate pantry. I feel so loved to have a wife and children who are joining me on this wonderful journey.

Pick yourself, dust yourself off and start all over again. You are doing great.
