Hi, this is Lan's wife, Percy.

My honeybun really likes creamy salad dressing. I usually make this out of avocado... But they aren't in season now.

Raw nuts and seeds like sunflower are near impossible to get here in the Philippines.

So here is a hard one, what is the best CREAMY salad dressing you can come up with without nuts, without seeds, without avocados?

Any Ideas?

I am sure this would also be good for the people allergic to nuts.

when I was a kid, my father had a stalk blender that had a special disc that emulsified things. If I can remember what it was called (began with a W I think) and they still make them, then you could just blend water and oils together with herbs or whatnot... I'll get back to you.

That's a tough one! I'll be interested to see what is suggested in this thread. It must be tough without nuts and seeds!

I think it was called the bailey blender (not a w afterall lol) not sure how Bailey was spelled though. I can't find one now but the robot coupe say they have an emulsifying disc in their range - they aren't cheap though.

I would try getting raw oil down a good low temp (not freezing) and attempt to emulsify it with the juice of something that contains lecithin.

I substituted thai coconut meat for the nuts in a mayo recipe and it came out really good. And I always use it in place of nuts for creamy salad dressing, I think it tastes better and has better consistency
