While it is true I am having some health issues right now, I think about these boards several times a day and thought I would share my some of my progress, sans pictures, unfortunately. I started out at 190 lbs. five months ago and am 167 lbs. now- 23 lbs. of weight I have kept on me for the last fifteen years and have never been able to release. I like the word release because this weight is not coming back, it is gone! It is the strangest thing to complimented by friends,"Wow, have you lost weight?" That has basically never happened to me. I cameover to my Mom's last night and after telling me how different I looked, she made me look at some pictures from a wedding two years ago. She was pointing out that I look like a whole different person! I ate a bunch of fat the past few weeks, Just really wanted avocados, etc, even though I am trying to lose weight and still lost five pounds! I love how slowly the weight comes on when you are raw, not in a drastic manner, but nice and healthily, gradual so you can deal with it. Nature must be on to something, I swear;)
I'll post some pics asap but am glad I got the chance to share all this! Take care all!

Well you do know that you need fat to release fat right? So the avocados, oils etc assist you in that.

I am sooooo blissed out for you!!! What a great sharing. Keep rawkin' it!!!http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x87/recyclinggoddess/attachment-3.php-1.gif

Thank your for sharing your story. Weight loss indeed doesn't happen overnight with raw food. And that's the best thing in it. Gradual changes in weight never hurts the body.

You may have also noticed gradual changes in your radiance? Unknowingly, people around you will notice that you look great but can't express in what way. That's the magic of raw food.

This sure caught my attention Aleesha because I am never sure about whether it's carbs (even fruit) or fat that prevent quicker weight loss.
Would you be able to direct me to some information which you have confidence in on this subject? Believe me, I read and I read and I am still not sure which is the way to go.

Sorry for interrupting here.

Just want you to know that I am excited for you - when people like your Mom say "you look different", that gives us such a boost doesn't it. My husband mentioned today that I am losing weight - I know it - but aren't we glad when others see a change?!
Even better is when our face shows that our health is improving - that glow! Woot woot for raw!
23 lbs. gone - congratulations little rawbie.
