Used to eat the cooked version of this when i was a kid here is my raw version.
It's simple but very delicious.
Ingredients:
3 cups flaxseeds
2 cups water
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons honey
salt
Preparation:
Mix 2 cups of the flaxseeds with the 2 cups of water and let the flaxseeds soak for 2-3 hours or let i sit overnight.
The last cup of flaxseeds you grind in a coffemill
mix the ground flax with the soaked flax and stir in the honey, cinnamon and salt.
if the dough is very dry add some more water.
spread out on a couple of teflex sheets and dehydrate until crunchy.
remove the teflex sheet after an hour or two, so the crackers get air from underneath as well.
