Well...so far, it took me ten minutes to find out how to post a new thread, hm....
I've been a vegetarian for quite a while, an animal rights activist too, and I' always quietly annoyed with all the ignorant people on this planet, when I didn't even know about being raw! I sat here for a while, contemplating. I recently deleted all my internet history to get rid of viruses that the internet so 'generously' hands out which became a problem for me.... I couldn't remember how I came across this raw food movement! Well, then I remember I saw a Youtube video by Matt Monarch. Since then (whis was actually only a couple of days ago) I have been thinking, "Should I do it?" "Should I" because I knew if I set my heart to it--I could. So I decided.
With barely fifteen years of life on my slate, I will go to the extreme. Yeah, I don't eat meat, I don't drink milk. But now, I not only can supremely benefit animals and the world, whilst silently rebelling against this insane conformity, rigidity, and become a raw vegan! And in one of the, apparently, most boring cities (Gilbert, AZ) in America!!
This just blows my mind. I am happy to say that my first thread I have ever written is on such a revelation. No, I'm not some hippie without an education (actually, the other day, a girl asked why I explained everything so 'scientifically,' which is kind of sad and hilarious....), but I am ready to learn more about raw foodism.
I like things clean, and done right. So, I, am, RAW. Sorry for the uber long thread, but even though I haven't been raw yet, I feel as though I have been mentally raw. It's so strange. I sure do eat many fruits and vegetables, being a vegetarian and all, but things that I used to digest with ease have been making me sick because of just...thought! I am ready!! Now I just have to figure out what to eat tomorrow.... If you were patient enough to get through this muck of a thread post, please, any tips that you have would be appreciated! I live by Fresh and Easy, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Marketside, Whole Foods, and I'm going to go down to Tempe an check out this place my violin teacher recommended called Sunflower Farmer's Market, so that helps. Wow. That was...thetherapeutic. *sigh* I am so excited!
