What a treat! I kid you not that I was like a kid in a candy store and had such a hard time deciding what to order! I ended up getting a half order of enchiladas, and a half order of vegicotti, and my daughter and I each got two orders of cheesecake (four different kinds) so we each got a half piece of all four. It was all REALLY delicious! I was there with 8 non-raw people. The reaction ranged from negative to very positive. My mom was the most negative, but she had already made up her mind even before we got there, so it was really irritating. She got the salad bar and a smoothie, two things you can get in Montana very easily, ate a few bites of her salad, and announced she could never be a raw foodist! GRRRRR! My extremely picky aunt thought the pizza was "not bad" and the fudge was "really good". My uncle, who was just diagnosed with ALS and is really trying to follow a natural health program and has told me he knows he needs to eat more raw, didn't like the collard greens on his mexiwrap but said the filling was delicious. Another uncle had the house salad and chips and salsa and loved both. My children all liked their food.
I bought my uncle the book "Raw Food Made Easy for One or Two People." They are strapped for cash right now, so I also plan to give them my juicer. It is an older Champion (avocado green) that I only paid $25 for and rarely use, preferring green smoothies. He really wants to start juicing, so I decided to just send it to them. I hope the sampling of raw at the cafe helped him to see it is not impossible.
I tried to talk the proprietess (?) on duty that day into moving to Montana, but I don't think I succeeded, lol. Sorry no pictures, but 14yos just rolled his eyes when I mentioned the possibility, and the camera was in his backpack in the car, so I let it go. But if you are ever in Las Vegas, do go! BTW, the strawverry cheesecake was the BEST. If anyone knows the recipe, please share.
