Went out with DD for dinner last night to celebrate my B-day.

We went to a vegan restaurant that has some raw food options, a raw plate of the day and some desserts.

DD got pizza and thai skewers, carrot cake, and I got the raw plate - seed pates and veggies, and a raw carob brownie type thing.

It was very very very hard not to sample the cooked vegan food for some reason.

Why is it some days are sooooooooooooooo much harder than others?

Probably the only thing that kept me in check was DD reported that the vegan pizza wasn't as good as the one I make at home for her, lol!

I was actually finally at a place where I thought I could do some fasting to help with some needed deep healing, and then, pow - I can barely hold on to being raw.

It seeems like a roller coaster at times: some days so easy you think you'll never want cooked food again....then smack into totally jonesing for something...

Any insight?

i actually appreciate the ebb and flow of my diet. it allows me to always sit down and really look at what i'm doing and redeciding what the best thing is for me in that moment.

personally i believe that anyone who gets 'settled' too deeply into something or too 'firm' in what they believe... stop growing and changing and sometimes they end up doing something simply because it was what they chose instead of what is best for them.

for me it's more about things like: i'm not resonating with anything dehydrated for awhile then all i want is flax crackers.

or

i looooove fasting and then all of a sudden, i can't fast at all. (this happened in jan-may this year - fasting was such a huge challenge for me.)

hope my babbling somehow assists ya.

Try to find out what you're missing in your life right now( or what you think you are missing)............all the cravings come from the wish to compensate some mental/emotional issues imo. Write things down, so that you can see them more clearly....and keep us posted.
The other thing is: keep your thoughts in a positive flow like: I choose to do so, I am free, I enjoy the benefits of raw, raw is my favourite way of living this life etc.....just fill yourself with all those thoughts and many others and your path will turn into a beautiful one :)
