These were the desserts donated for auction at the Raw Network of Washington Dinner Gala held tonight. Chocolate Silk Pie (my donation - the one with the creme topping dotted with chocolate drops), Chocolate Raspberry Torte, Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake, Chocolate Mousse Adoration, Chocolate Coconut Cake, White Chocolate Orange Creamsicle Cake, La Mystere, Lemon Love Cake, Incan-Goji Torte (that is the one my table bid on -it was fabulous!), Jeff's Thriller Brownies, Heavenly Fruit Tarts, Cinnamon Pecan Cheesecake, Lime Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse Pie, and Raspberry Tart.

The desserts did not fit on the table all at once. Here are 3 pics that show most of them. RAW IS BEAUTIFUL! Bon Appetite!

Wow! I wish I lived closer and could attend these types of events easier! One of these days...

Can you tell us how the event went? Was there a good turnout? *Ü*

The event sold out. There were about 16-18 tables with 10 people at each table. Each table voted for the dessert they wanted and put up money. Picking order for the desserts was in order of the amounts of money put up.

When the auction started I wasn't paying attention because I was waiting by the kitchen door for them to bring out my dessert which had been temporarily misplaced. I think the highest bid was $200. My table came in fifth with $150.

Speakers for the event were Victoria Boutenko and Cherie Calbom. I sat next to Cherie at dinner. She is a lovely lady. Her talk was very inspiring and touching. Victoria's talk was funny. I love her.

Dinner was by Raw Chef Mia Dalene. First course was a delicious salad plate. Second course was a sliced tomato layered with a pesto/quacamole, third course was jicama/nut cheese ravioli. All presented beautifully. It was in a private club on the 76th floor of the Columbia Tower. Everything was top notch. Even the ladies rooms were private rooms with big windows. My dinner seat was at the corner window. Amazing views of Seattle and the mountains.

My total cost for the ticket, parking, and a $20 contribution for dessert was $45. All proceeds went to the survival of the Raw Network of Washington. I hope it survives. I want to go to next year's gala!

I do! Mia is well known raw chef. She was also the creator of the dinner menu for the event. Her new website is smartrawfood.com (http://dalenes.com/Site/home.html) I don't think it is set up yet. When I typed it in it took me to her old site, but there should be info there on events and classes.

Sorry, I don't have any recipes. If and when I get any I will ask for permission to share them here.

The description read: Moist vanilla cake, nut base, coconut cashew creme, lemon glaze.
