I wanted to tell about my kitty. Her sensitive comfort to me or others when something is off or upset is incredible! She comes to me when I cry and sits on my chest and tries to lick my face. If I dont stop, she almost tries to bite to stop it.

Today was my last day with my boys I nannied for three years. She loves the lil one and when we were here she was with him the whole time. She sat by him while he slept like she was spending the last amount of time with him that she could.

SHe has been not feeling well for this past week, as I have been in deep emotions over this as well. She has been in grief I think.

Her love and comfort and feeling what I feel it profound.

Animals are the absolute best.

When I was in labor with my fourth child, I had a long night of laboring by myself. I had had a fight with my husband and then went into labor early. Due to our hard feelings, I did not want to wake him up, so I sat in my rocker and labored by myself all night. My cat came into the living room quite early on and jumped up on my lap. He sort of draped himself over my bulging belly, facing me, and did the paw kneading thing (he was declawed, luckily!) and purred. He stayed there ALL NIGHT! His purring and massaging and the warmth of his body really helped me to stay relaxed. Best labor partner I ever had! He really seemed to sense how much I needed him right then.

What a sweet story. That is amazing. They do know. My kitty would go in when Roo was here sleeping, if he started coughing, to see how he was.

Today she was watching guard over him so much I couldnt believe it. He loves her so much. He has no animals and wont be getting any. We shared that and I will miss that for both of us.

One of the kitties I've had in my life (still in my life, but no longer living with me) he used to wait by the door for me to get home. It was either my mom or grandparents that were home earlier in the day, & they told me "every day, he gets up from whatever he's doing & goes & sits at the door & looks up at it for at least an hour". & Every day that I'd get home from school, there he would be to greet me. lol :D

I also had an older cat, that did the biting thing when I would cry (sometimes an almost high pitched squealing cry, I don't do that anymore) but she REALLY didn't like it. She jumped up on the couch behind me, put both paws (no claws, though) on my neck & BIT me! I was sooo shocked (I stopped crying) LOL!!

They say if you ever have troubles bonding with your pets it's because you chose them, & they didn't CHOOSE you! I find that interesting.
