Wow, this sounds so simple but really good. I totally miss ground round (soy) and other savory soy products that were a staple of mine for the last ten years.

I really will be trying this. I love simple recipes that combine foods in new ways. Thanks!

For those allergic to cashews, we are just using walnuts.

I was making SAD tacos for my family tonight when I remembered reading this recipe yesterday. So I made some up quick and it's good. I added a little cumin and cilantro. But it was good before the addition. So lettuce tacos for me tonight with salsa! I repeat, quick and tasty.

I had leftover Taco Meat with salsa topping in a bowl on the road today. It actually looked like taco meat today. I tasted better I think today, so it keeps. I still have a bit left, so maybe I'll have it over a bed of lettuce and cilantro tomorrow...

I made a similar recipe of taco meat recently. Just thought I'd share a photo to keep the inspiration going!

Laura-Jane, how was yours different?

Biggest difference is that the recipe I made had sundried tomatoes in it.

I posted the recipe (http://therawtarian.com/raw-taco-meat-recipe/) a while back on my blog. I think it was originally posted at Dimond Health.

Mmm, tacos!

I LOVE tacos. I'm on a fast ATM and trying to get to a raw diet, but as soon as I break it and am eating solids again I'm gonna make me some guacamole and tacos. Then I'm gonna slather it in some tabasco. But I'm gonna try to make my own tabasco so that I can have all raw.:D

And this recipe is so simple that I don't know if I'll stay patient enough and make me some raw chips or if I'll just wrap it in a green leaf.:p

I love it with diced tomato a little cumin and slice of avacado. Jalapenos also kick it up a ntch when Iam in the mood for spicy hot.

I've also rolled taco nut meet in a nori with shreded cabbage and carrot sticks... Delicious:D

Thanks for sharing a good reminder forhow simplethings can be forme this month.
