Hello,
I'm new to raw foods, been on 90% raw diet for the last few months. Yesterday I had an operation for lipomas removal, the doc got about 50 of them. Normally in the past I needed lots of pain killers, but now that I am on raw food, I haven't taken a single pain medication, amazing and incredible!. But let me get to my question:
I have been searching around for a good method to heal wounds and aside from Honey I have not found much at all.
What is the best method to heal the wounds?
Thanks

Hey! Welcome and that is awesome about no pain!
Two things came to mind. Coconut oil or witch hazel and tea tree oil combo. I have a bottle of witch hazel and I added about 6 drops of tea tree oil. I shake it and use it on all types of skin irritations. I even use it on my fur babes!

Raw food is incredible, I had a couple of these types of surgries in the past and normally I would be in bed on pain meds. But I feel really good, I feel great. I can move about, slowly but surely, pain is very tolerable. Heck I can type, and I had my surgery less then 24 hours ago!!!, if you like I can attach some pics(very graphic)
I had some hesitation about the surgery due to the pain, but now, I feel like I am going to schedule my next surgery for April and just keep going... I have some 200+ lipomas... Raw food decreased the pain from them in general, but I never expected tolerable pain after surgery, or any surgery, is that normal?

I just did an interview last night on Let's Talk Raw (http://bit.ly/aGOSx) and one thing Rory said was to eat sulphur/silicon rich foods.
Since lipoma's are benign, any chance you'd like to see them naturally disappear via a 100% organic, raw food diet instead of subjecting yourself to more invasive surgery?

Lipomas may be labeled as benign in the WebMD and some are. However when you keep grow new lipomas and existing ones get bigger then there is nothing benign about them, the symptoms range from pain to chronic fatigue, etc. And when you grow new ones then there is arisk of them growin into tissue like heart, brain, you name it. When you keep growing lipmoas you have basic key genes HGMA1 and HGMA2 overacting - the faulty protine then somehow is instructed to mutate the fat present in the blood stream, then there must be one other gene(still in search of) that tells the body to store it instead of exert the mutated body fat, then there must be a group of genes which instruct the autoimmune system to ignore it, which also suggest an autoimmune disorder of some sorts.
What I did notice is that in combination with Raw Food and the Water Cure, the growth of these tumors have significantly slowed down, but not stopped. However I believe that raw food may be able to stop these, I am just too new to raw foods to have the optimum food combination. I'm just learning and help and suggests I can get are greatly appreciated.

Zinc is suppose to be the best taken for 4-6 wks prior to surgery. Vitamin C for afterwards.
For topical healing raw honey (esp manuka) is the best & helps prevent scars. Vitalzym heals internal scar tissue.

Thank you for the information. To me, your having experienced this is way more significant than what's found on the internet.
You're not 100% raw yet, yes? That would be my suggestion. Maybe even a 3 day water fast although, I'm not an expert on fasting, I'm thinking, if these tumors have nothing to feed on, it'll stop their growth? Possible?
If it were me (which, obviously it's not), I wouldn't worry too much about combinations right night so much as going 100%, getting as much of it as possible organic. Make sure there are no animal proteins in the blood.
Have you stopped all meat/dairy? I'm wondering if there might be a difference in the fat mutation between animal and plant.

Taking zinc while having lipomas can be a very dangerous thing. If you are growing lipomas stay away from zinc at all cost. Zinc will only increase the growth since these have zinc receptors. Its like taking lipoma steroids.
I am not 100% raw yet, but 90%. I go fishing alot....
I have not tried any fasts yet ether. The type of fast I think might be helpful is an oxidating one. To "mute" the HGMA1 (the culprit gene) seems to be the challenge. The one that promises the most so far is the master clense with peppers, but I really wish someone who knows about fasts would speak out here. I pressume I need one that also burns fat at some level...

O.k., big suggestion here. Fishing ~ in polluted waters? Could possibly be causing SOME of your problems. Mercury and fish fat.
Talk to Aleesha about fasting. She's the fasting maven. She also does Reiki which is VERY helpful for illnesses. Seems any fast is going to eliminate excess fat since you're not ingesting any. Nothing really "burns" fat other than movement. That's what ad agencies use to get people to purchase products.
