i feel my son, 9 years old now,
his left leg seems to look a bit longer than right leg,
Is this still normal and fine ?
should i worry about it ?

dpes it bother him or have hip pain after running, in the am? some get sciatica from this. Depends on the amt. I have one leg slightly shorter than the other, never been a problem. wouldn't think the biking would bother him since it's a non=pounding sport. Has ped commented?

If it is an issue the earlier the better. I went to an Osteopath (not the same problem) with my son. That could be a good route to go.She did some pediatric cranial sacral work, but she came from a (bones) osteopathic bkgrnd and I think again, that may be a good place to start with a concern like this.

If you can find a Radcliffe practitioner, s/he might be able to help with that. Yoga and/or qigong may as well, where the body will adjust itself if need be.
Is it normal? Probably. Natural? Don't think so. Should you worry about it? Does it help you to?
If he were my son, I'd look into it a bit to avoid potential future problems. Then again, he's still growing and growing kids change.

I know of a boy who has one side of his body growing at a faster rate than the other. He has to have operations to correct it. You need to take him to the Dr. to make sure it's not something like that. Also, he may need special shoes.

If the legs are actually different in length, I doubt a chiropractor could fix it, although he/she could relieve any stress caused by it.
My daughter had a hip out of place and the chiropractor fixed that.

oh , not helpful ??
i seems it maybe in 5-8 mm difference range.
are they doing the work by pulling the shorter one longer ,
or make the longer one shorter , something else ?

Depends on the chiro

They don't pull ~ they adjust the spine so it releases the tension on it. Make sure you get a good bodywork therapist first to release the muscles holding the tension in the spine. That alone may do the trick.

consult a bodywork therapist first ,
then a chiropractor ?
the term bodywork therapist is new to me, is it similar to a chiropractor ?

A chiro may have a bodywork therapist on staff.

It depends on the chiro. I believe that their pelvis is actually tilted and when it gets assistance to hold itself in the right position, the legs are equal in length again.

i have this! i get adjusted twice a week :)
apparently, my legs were different lengths because the right side of my pelvis was slightly tilted higher than the left.

Aleesha
forget to ask the treatment is a prolong period, visit multiple times over several months period or longer ?
not just a one or two times treatment, right ?

well, i get adjusted just to keep my whole spine in alignment for optimal health. as for my hips, they pretty much stay even now, but it is because of my lifestyle that they tilt. (The way I sleep, my menses, etc.) so, every now and again they need to be helped back into place.

Please do get it checked out. In rare occasions, it may be scoliosis (curvature of the spine). More girls have it than boys. Many times it resolves itself. Sometimes you may need a brace.
I'm hyper-sensitive to this as it runs in my family and I had two cousins who were basically crippled by it, a brother and sister. Even after multiple surgeries. Now, even the doctors said it was a rare almost freak coincidence that both of them rejected all the treatments, so I don't mean to sound super alarmist. Another cousin had it and was able to resolve it within few years with treatment and a brace.
Just wanted to make sure you got it checked out.

My ex-wife is preferring Osteopathic over Chiropractic.
She said Osteopathic is more close to natural therapy than Chiropractic.
For this, i am not so sure, but it cost less for Osteopathic consultation compared at my place as well.

I think you little worry about that. It correct by an operations. You need to take him to the Dr. to make sure it's not something like that.
