If someone is in real iodine deficiency, it wouldn't hurt to go through a bottle of iodoral (lugols in tablet form). One tablet equals the average Japanese dose from seafoods. Sea vegetables are fantastic but it takes a lot of them and not everyone loves them. Brazil nuts are a good source of selenium. Some people might need to watch their intake of cabbage/broccoli/kale/collard family too.
