Hello,

I started the diet on Tuesday. It's now Thursday and I've been 100% on the diet. I am feeling SO very weak. I normally am not a big fan of meat, but, up until the diet, I've been eating lots of cheese and meats and eggs and such. I just don't know if I'm getting enough protein. I've made the date nut torte, mock salmon pate, fettucine alfredo. Although I feel full after eating those things, I'm already getting sick of nuts and I just feel like I can barely function...very weak, no energy. Maybe it's just too drastic for me to totally cut out grains, meats and dairy all at once?

Would love some advice...

Detox...? It'll pass.

The first time I went 100% my diet had been so awful that my detox was pretty intense. When I exercised the dizziness would be so extreme I felt drunk and would have to sit down before I fell down. I can't say what it is for you, but for me it was not lack of protein. It was years of stored toxins being dumped into my bloodstream for cleansing. In other words, detox.

My advice would be hang in there. Drink lots of water and snack on fruit. :)

You can have Grains. It is Detox but when you feel weak......eat.

Yes, you are most likely detoxing....just how I felt at first. My opinion? You are already three days into it. It will most likely NOT get worse and should start getting better, depending on what your diet was like before. Many say four days. For me it was a week of horribleness before I started (slowly) to turn the corner. If I had to do it over again, knowing what I know now.......I still would do 100% overnight. Get it over with. But that's just me!

DEFINITELY stick with it - 100% Raw AND eat when you feel weak. Drink water - that helps to flush out gunk...

Including PLENTY of avocados, coconut, and greens? Sources of good amino acids if protein is an issue... good sources of fats too in the avos/coconuts along with extra virgin coconut/olive/grapeseed oils. Getting enough fats? Don't be afraid to get enough good fats, eating enough throughout the day and exercise are crutial. Sweating does wonders.
Try making/blending thick fruit smoothies once a day and getting a lot of veggies like in a salad or fresh veg juice.
Could be a mineral issue... the foods above are great sources, but plenty of fruits will usually do the trick too.

And if you can get a hold of Thai Young Coconuts I believe every ill symptom you have will almost immediately disappear. You won't believe how great those will make you feel! That's a guarantee!

It will definitely pass. My first week was rough. I was starving all the time and felt that I would get hungry an hour or so after being totally full. Trust us. It gets better. Give it a week. You've already come this far!

Just make sure you're eating all the time. And DO NOT leave the house without fruits and nuts and raisins etc in your purse and in your car!

You might want to kick up the greens alittle. When I eat heavy foods I feel blah. The greens seem to give me some energy. I juice them with apples celery and lemon. Don't forget to drink plenty of water . You have to rinse your body from the inside out.

i'm having the same problems... it's been my fifth day so far. and i've never felt better for the past four days but till today, i feel so weak and i really crave for something warm and hearty. like a bowl of chicken soup noodles.... but i'm pretty sure it's just temporary. stay strong and it'll be over!

It was about a full week for me with the detox. I felt dizzy at times, my mind felt a bit fuzzy, and I would occasionally get that feeling of crashing and get weak. My skin also broke out and I flet like I had a weird toxic odor about me. After the third week everything fell into place. My go to was avacados, dried apricots, and a good green smoothie. Hang in there it will all be worth it! I started in February and have lost 22 pounds, my skin looks great and I have never felt better in my life.

I had a tough time in the beginning too. Keep eating as it will help. Eat a lot of small raw meals all day and drink plenty of water. I was using a product and still am that works great for either snack or one of your meals. It's called meal 53 and it's been really great. Hang in there and this forum is great for ideas and recipes etc. It gets better and then you can't imagine going back to your old diet.

I would recommend eating a lot more fruit and drinking green smoothies everyday....and more fruit. Drink 2-3 liters of water a day. Consume a pound of greens daily. Reduce the nuts. Meditate .....get outside....be active.., be happy!
