Hello everyone!

I am so grateful for the universe that brought me to this site!
I've been reading the forums here and eating raw for a few weeks now, decided I'd join with the beginning of the new 30 day raw challenge.

I've always been interested in health, nutrition, fitness and spirituality, so it was just a matter of time when I would find out about raw foods. And so here I am. I embarked on this journey because I wanted to be the healthiest that I can be, my parents always teased me that I eat so "scientifically", but this doesn't mean any eating disorders before any of you get the wrong idea :)

Anyway, I'm graduating this year (13 y school system...), I travel between my home and school by bike and have at least 3 resistance trainings a week, and some pilates threw in to spice things up. Not long ago started doing some "tribal training", I love to climb trees :D

I guess my body has some stuff to clean, but I've never been eating terribly. I don't drink nor smoke, drinking only water since I was 11-12. My diet consisted mostly of asian style stir-fried cuisine (home made!) lots of vegetables with brown rice; whole wheat breads; fruits - I always ate this raw; and an occasional treat of duck meat, but never been big on eating meat, I've been vegetarian on and off for 4 years now, and since gone raw, haven't had any, I love this raw vegan lifestyle so far. I might be the oddball here, as I don't crave sweets, I have more of a "salty-savoury tooth" than a sweet tooth.

As a matter of fact, yesterday I was really sick of the sweetness of the grapes, apples, dates, figs, bananas, plums, pears and perhaps it was a sign of my body to get some sodium from something more salty and something more from the savoury fruits (my big mix of berries).

Also, I don't know why, but my body (I guess :)) was craving mature coconuts (don't have young Thai coconuts here available) last weekend and today, so I pretty much devoured the half of it in one sitting.

Anyway, that's it in a nutshell, nice to meet you all.

Aww, thank you :) In which part of Germany do you live? I've worked in a camphill near Nürnberg last year for a month (Hausenhof to be precise) and loved the place! Went for huge walks up on the hills and down into the forest.

Hi Hina! Welcome!! I miss Budapest and the raw food community over there. I was there for a solid 6 months last year and got to travel to Romania and all over the Hungarian countryside. I really miss it! Please feel free to email me directly if you would like any pointers or contacts of people in Budapest holding raw food events. :)
