I have never turned on my ice cream maker because I am happy with the banana ones and think that they are healthier than a nut based one.
For the past 2 days I have had orange flavoured ice cream.
I put some peeled sectioned orange in the freezer and added it to the frozen banana. I also added some crushed seeds, yesterday sunflower and pumpkin and today it was flax.
I usually add berries instead of orange.

Here's my favorite icecream recipe.
Chocolate Icecream
Cafe Gratitude Recipe
1 1/4 cups hazelnut milk (I use coconut water)
1 cup cashews (soak 2 hours)
1/2 cup agave syrup
5 tablespoons cacao powder
2 tablespoons vanilla flavor
1/4 teaspoon salt
Blend all ingredients until very smooth. Put into the refrigerator for 1 hour. Add mixture to frozen icecream maker while it is running. At this time, you can add fruit pieces or cacao nibs. Run for 20-30 minutes. Eat right away or put into the freezer until ready to eat. It will not freeze completely but will have a nice scoopable consistency. Yum!

That is a lot of cacao powder to consume.

Hello, I am not the recipe reading and following type. So sometimes it works out fine, sometimes not.
Last week I invited some non-raw friends. And prepared Banana icecream (Banana, lemon, cinamon), which is good but not that special.
So I decided to prepare a special sauce, which came out soooo yummie :D.
Sweet dried cherries (in water)
Lemon (juice and some peel)
cinamon
lavender flowers
went into the vitamix - and ready
it had way to much lavender, but the girls loved it. Even my dominican friend, who needs her rice, like we need air to breathe, got really crazy about my foods. They also loved the crackers, falafel and sesame sauce, carrot soup and avocado soup. Not to forget the almond-lemon cookies and the carob-hemp cookies.
It makes me happy when people like my foods. And it seems they cant stop eating it. One friend even told me she felt fine the day after.
;) Katharina
