Having some issues that I had when I fasted about 2 months ago. I thought it was because I fasted improperly, but I'm not even fasting this time. This time I'm eating, but just sticking to a Raw diet.

Okay, so, (and Revvell don't just tell me to stop standing up, lol) when I go to stand up I feel okay at first, but once I start walking, I feel a bearable burning sensation in my inner and outer thighs, my buttocks area and a weakness in the muscles in my upper arms and shoulder area (which I can live with). But I also feel a weakness and burning in my right chest area (front and back) and it's difficult for me to take deep breaths at first. When that happens, I try to slow down my walking and concentrate on taking deeper breaths and eventually I can take deeper breaths and the burning subsides, but the weakness remains for a bit longer. Has anyone experienced this? If so, did it last long? Do you know why this would happen? The burning on my back seems to be closer to my spine. I do have a chest cold right now, but when I fasted before, I had a similar experience. However, I don't remember it being so severe.

Also, the last time I fasted, I had weakness all over my body for a very long time. Is that something that I'm going to experience this time? It lasted for 2 weeks, even after I was on solids again. It was difficult to walk up small inclines, let alone stairs. How long should weakness last is what I'm really wondering, before I should be concerned?

Are you eating enough? When I first went raw, I had a lot, and I mean a LOT of detox, including weakness, dizziness, almost fainting. I just had to power through it. It was difficult, let me tell you. The worst was over in one week, the bulk of it over in 2 weeks. But I realized I wasn't eating enough because I felt so sick. When I started eating more it helped. For me I think it was blood sugar issues.

I don't know if I'm eating enough or not. I don't ever feel hungry, but I always feel like I'm shoving food in my face. I'm either drinking a smoothie or munching on something. I never seem to get hunger pains, at least not in the past 2 1/2 days. Perhaps I am detoxing and just didn't know the actual signs.

See? There's your problem ~ walking. Don't walk, don't take deep breaths. ;)

Without enough information, it's hard for me to give you any assistance here. I've been through some very strange things myself including a "burning" or "tingling/numbing" sensation down my spine. It went away. Never did find out the cause.

Also, had severe pain in my joints. Began in my ankles. Felt as though someone had run a knife through them. The pain then went through every joint including elbows and wrists. My hands would fall asleep at the most inopportune times. Eventually the pain went away in all joints but hands and arm and that went away as well.

It could very well be a detox. Then again it could be sensitivity to something you're eating or something that's changed in your environment. New carpeting? New washing detergent?

I knew you'd find something. :D

I think what I'll do is just keep a journal of the sensations that I'm feeling. As long as there are no dibilitating pains or pains that don't go away after a few moments or pains where I don't feel the need to call an ambulance, I'll just write them down and move on.

I have a feeling these first few weeks are going to be a bit strange. I guess I was just wondering if any of you experienced anything weird or strange and how long did it last and it sounds like the first few weeks were a little rough for some of you.
