Hey raw guru's!
Well......I started my raw food journey a whole 4 weeks ago and I am really sucking at this! I find in my quest to satisfy solid food and sweet tooth, I have been succumbing to organic chocolate......loads of it! I am transitioning into a hundred percent raw, but still have beans cooked. I feel as soon as the temperature is dipping, I want foods that are "warm". Anyways, wondering how you guys counter your need for "warming food" and chocolate? I am embarrassed to say the weight I had lost (I need to lose a lot of weight) all came back this week as soon as it became cold and I increased my intake of chocolate and beans. Any advice and suggestions are welcome.
Thank you! xoxo

There's tons of raw chocolate desserts you can make or buy pre-made. That's one of the easiest things not to worry about when raw.
I often let food warm up at room temperature before eating. Some either warm up the food a bit in their Vitamix or dehydrator. There are also warming spices, such as cayenne and ginger, that you can use in dishes.

try not to worry so much about it. I know that sounds easier said but if you can relax about what you want to give up & what you want to do, it'll be easier. You can barely warm soups on the stove or in dehydrator. I'm not a 'meal' cook yet..very simple things & I'm fine. Will eventually go into the more prepared items. I make a huge smoothie daily & go with the rest.
I was stressing & it made it more of a challenge.

You need a chocolate substitute!
When I was transitioning into become 100% raw, I made sure that I always had raw "chocolate" truffles on hand (here's the truffle recipe (http://rawtarian.wordpress.com/2009/09/20/raw-chocolate-truffles-recipe/) that I use, but there are hundreds of easy truffle recipes. Google 'em). Truffles are so easy, as long as you have a food processor.
To increase your chance of success, make sure you have sweet raw goodies on hand ALL THE TIME.
Good luck and keep us posted!

the weight I had lost (I need to lose a lot of weight) all came back this week as soon as it became cold and I increased my intake of chocolate and beans.
The "slips" I have had have shown me that the body handles cooked food differently then it does raw food. When eating raw food I lose weight and have no problem with weight control but as soon as I start eating even a little cooked food my body starts storing fat and putting on weight. I have found this fat/weight increase to be directly proportional to the amount of cooked food that I eat.

hi the truffles sound delicious, but I have looked everywhere for raw cocoa and can't seem to find it. Is there somewhere online I can order it or something?
