Well I finally posted a picture! I'm a self-confessed bonzo health nut who doesn't always practice what she preaches. I know better, but sometimes I don't DO better. I've been studying nutrition and natural health for about five years and now I'm ready to hit the next level. Everyone here is so inspiring I'm hoping your infectious enthusiasm is catching!

My struggles at the moment are the mental mazes I lock myself in. I have a terrible perfectionism streak which wreaks havoc on the best of intentions. When stress levels hit the roof (which happens far more often than I'd care to admit... erm... who said that?!) I ache for things I KNOW aren't good for me physically or mentally. There was a post in here somewhere about this being a wholistic endeavor which is certainly true for me... when I'm centred in one area of my life, the other areas seem to align themselves almost naturally. And of course, when one area hits the skids, so do others :(

So my goals are to continue working toward expressing my Higher purpose... I don't know about you but I'm tired of wasting my time doing things that don't contribute to my well-being or only serve to distract me from expressing my true Self. Fear of success maybe?! Ug... another thread, another day

So raw food plays a major role here... notice any familiar patterns anyone?!

Thank you for welcoming me so openheartedly. I consider this forum an incredible source of encouragement and inspiration.

Cheers,
Wrecked Spark

Hi Wrecked Spark! So far I've found YOU to be very inspiring, so thanks for that. :) And you are definitely among fellow perfectionists - that seems to be a recurring theme around here!

Are you doing a 30 day challenge?

Either way, best of luck to you on your life's journey. - Lisa

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I love sharing information on here. I just received Alissa's book so I finally have an opportunity to try some of the recipes everyone has been chatting about. I'd like to try the 30 day challenge. I'm going to sink my teeth into some of the recipes so that I can feel a little more comfortable (currently I'm banned from the kitchen... I uh, hmmm, hee hee... I'm not so good in the culinary department :o ) It's a home-wide safety measure. Hee hee.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this but we often experience the grumpy-pants syndrome... after a hard day at work and an irritating commute (thank goodness for cd players!) we come home cranky and hungry ~ NOT a good combination. Even if we're preparing something healthy, sometimes you munch.. erm... on maybe not so healthy stuff (I have a particular penchance for crackers or anything salty).

I find that as I increase my raw intake, cravings disappear. I need to work on the cranky-puss part though. :o

And Joke, maybe shy wasn't the word... maybe it was the sense of accountability. It's a bit unnerving but now is when I want my best life... not some abstract time in the future when i get this, or do that, or finally figure that out... now!!! I ready now!!! :)

Batton down the hatches... buckle up... here we go!
