A variation of Alissa's cheesecake recipe......
Orange juice instead of lemon juice plus 1/2 cup raw carob.
Use pecans for the crust......I froze it first solid and then kept in the fridge.
OMG!!!! It is sooooo sweet and sooooooooo rich a small slice is plenty~
Deelicious chocolaty treat~

You are bad so bad! Here I just JUST swore that I was leaving cheesecake alone til the holidays....but I will have to try this. We have a "chocolate" event coming up and I wanna take this, but it's outside. How would I keep it cool? Maybe put the tin on ice?

*LOL*....Yes...on a bed of ice would probably be ok.........needs to be cold.......the thing is you can really be satisfied with a thin slice......otherwise it is so rich as to be sickening.........to me anyway....so won't feel at all guilty eating just a small serving~

Yes, the cheesecake can only be eaten is small servings or you feel not too good! Which is a good thing!
I'll give it a try and tell you how everyone loved it! :) Oh, I can't wait to try it!
Yummy!'
Edited to add, I made this today and it is still freezing but I always have extra left over. Well have the last two times, not sure why. The first time I did not soak the nuts, that could be why.
Anyways, if you like chocolate or know someone that does, you should make the chocolate version! It's yummy and I can't wait to try a piece after dinner!

Well, I took this to our event last night and NOONE liked it. LOL Which was ok with me.
Everyone had their plate PILED with all the chocolate forest cake, chocolate covered strawberries, brownies, all the gooey icky sticky stuff. I had my raw cheesecake and raw fudge. I got one piece of each and was sitting there eating that.
My Pastor's wife came up to me and said, is ALL that you're having? I said yes, and I'm sure it will satisfy me! :)
Well, she came to me afterwards and said, I feel so sick because I piled my plate so high of all that junk! I just said, sorry you're not feeling well! LOL
Amazing how your taste really does change to not even want all the junk sweets!

If you are into chocolate, as I was tonight, try adding raw chocolate (I use NFL raw cacoa powder) or raw carob to the Almond Butter Balls, I added stevia and cut the honey in half and added 1 Tbspoon of Water to replace some of the honey...yum.
