I can't stress enough the important of community. A common identity which we all pledge ourselves too. It gives us power.

If we knew every raw foodist in our community we could gather ourselves and order bulk foods. This would help us all save $$$ and also wipe out supermarket franchises at the same time.

Big corporations use this philosophy on us as citizens. The only reason that supermarkets make so much $$$ is because THEY know how many people want x product. Neither the grower nor "us" know how many people want apples. Because the consumers don't unite themselves as a single force, they have their power ($$$) unfairly taken away from them by those who do unite (corporations). It's like having freedom fighters running one by one to fight a trained standing army.

That's why communities such as these are so important. It helps to unite us, empower us. I just hope that anyone who takes the time to read this keeps these words in mind throughout your whole day. That in every interaction in your life becomes a process of empowering yourself ; disempowering that which doesn't help you.

Find other raw foodists and empower yourselves.
Band together organic farmers and empower yourselves.
Link multiple raw food forums in whatever way you can.

When 2 or more people of like mind come together with a single intention, their wish is instantly granted.

I just found out one of the massage therapists where I work massages a lady who is raw. So cool. I plan to talk to her and see where she gets her stuff etc. I'm excited to meet someone close to me.

Man, i won't even tell anyone i'm a vegan yet! ok, i told someone at work i was a vegetarian (the farthest i will go) and they almost fell over. Can you imagine "raw"?? One woman downstairs at work has started asking me all sorts of questions about what i'm doing, asking about my shakes, etc, maybe there's something there....... :)

Very well said. I think that is a huge part of Alissa's intention with this forum.

Don't be afraid, ashamed, embarassed or whatever to embrace eating this way and having others curious of your health. Even if they comment that, "Oh I could never eat like that!" We KNOW they could/should.

Lead by example and be proud.

I am all up for being proud(in a humble sort of way) of how I eat and take care of myself. I dont need to say too much because my looks speak loud.
This is a light in my life, one huge piece that gives me a glow and a shine and sparkle(in many ways) and it is not something I want to hide.

People who go to Mickey Dees are ones who need to hide out of embarrassment, not us.

We eat the best food on the planet, whole living, ife giving foods, and we dont shout it from the rooftops????

We live in a messed up world around food and alot of other things. Those who shine can LET IT SHINE!!!
