First of all thanks to everyone who replied in my rice cakes thread, ive only just got to read it but i havnt eaten them since the night i made that thread so thats good.
Ive been eating quite alot of fruit since then and vegetables. The last time i tried this (and failed) my skin was getting dry and not just my face but my hands as well. Well as im trying again but im getting very dry and red once again. Im on a low fat diet trying to beat my candida issues, as its sort of the beginning area of my diet will the dry and flakyness get worse before better? Im just worried this isnt going to work as im not sure where to head next if it doesnt.

Try Brushing your entire Body with a Medium Bristle Brush or a Luver Sponge daily.

If you feel that you must moisturise then just rub on any good oil. Only put it on your skin if you would be prepared to put it in your mouth. Coconut oil or olive oil will help.

Your skin is an indicator of what is going on inside too. Do you consume enough water? Do you consume any oil? Re-evaluate what is going in. Our skin is our biggest organ...

I think alot of water throughout the day so i dont see that as been a problem. I dont intake any oil as all of them seem to make my skin alot more greasy and spotty, thats why im trying to avoid fats.

You need fats. That is why they are called "Essential Fatty Acids". Without fats you loose all the benefit of the Fat Soluble Vitamins.

Coconut oil, coconut in general (thai young coconuts too), avocados, plenty of fresh fruits (maybe bump up the citrus fruits if needed...).
Do regular theraputic at-home skin treatments. Simple sea-salt scrubs with oils, raw honeys or fresh fruit and veggie juices feel amazing. Try purchasing an aloe vera plant if they are available nearby, I can get them for less than $10 a plant and do wonders for the skin.
This may sound unusual but I'm convinced it works wonders and feels amazing... if you have a juicer or can get a hold of fresh juice, juice 2-4 whole beetroots and mix the juice with grapeseed(or olive) oil and pour the mixture into a hot bath. Add some essential oils for smells. Skin will feel unbelievable, and the deep blood-red bath is strangely satisfying :p

I've actually experienced this as well. Kind of comes and goes. What I think is that the body is going through major cleansing so the water is going to go to the most important areas first. I know some people don't feel a need to drink a lot of water eating raw foods, but I would think in the beginning, it is helpful to drink more as to assist the cleansing process. Just my opinion. :)

The problem is the essential fatty acids affect my skin in a negative way. Avacados etc worsen my skin. They make it more greasy, worsen spots and make me get more blackheads. I may give coconut oil another go as i could never really tell if that made my skin worse or not.

Maybe your skin has to get worse before it gets better?
