ouch if it hurts..I read it could be iron or fungus. Not sure since we can't see. Do a search to see what fits you the best.

did you hit it? If they are dry, they'll split/chip more. I get ingrowns on the big toe so I've been cutting a 'V' in the center for 27 yrs always. If I don't the ingrown returns.

No I didnt heal. Seems like the nail became brittle, Where is peeling, look like its going to peel again below the layer already peeled. Its super annoying because I dont like my body doing odd things its not supposed to do. I cant shrug off things if they seem unnatural to me. Im trying to grow it out. Hopefully it will go away :(

Could be nail fungus or psoriasis. You should probably see a podiatrist to find out the cause. In the meantime you can soak your foot in cider vinegar. Get a plastic shoe box with a lid and pour in 4 cups of vinegar. Soak for at least 3 minutes a night. It will help with either condition. You don't need to use Bragg's, unless of course that is what you already have in the house. The cheap stuff will work well externally. You can keep using what is in the box, adding more if necessary.

I do this nightly with both feet. I do have psoriasis, but AFAIK have never had it on my feet. I have had toenail fungus though. I have successfully cleared the right foot but the left big toe is being stubborn.

Another thing that helps if it is toenail fungus is oil of oregano applied externally (will discolor your nails though) and taken internally. Also any cream with urea, applied externally.
