I made an apple parsley cucumber juice and I got a sugar rush and headache.I am also sweating(sweat all night the last 2 times and tonight is just starting). I made this 3 days in a row and the same thing happened each time. Is this normal for parsley? I never had parsley in a juice before. I can understand the sugar rush from the apple juice and I am not crazy about that either. Any suggestions?

I knew someone was going to say that LOL.
I was trying to add juices and different greens so this is what I came up with.

You probably need more minerals to balance it out if you have sugar issues. Add leafy greens or celery. Or you can stir in a green powder.

There are so many possible juice combinations, why stay with something that doesn't work for you? As was said, add different greens or use beets instead of cukes or.... whatever! If it doesn't work, instead of TRYING to make it work, do something different.

I dunno. Seems I may be missing something in the question because it seems simple enough to me.

I was wondering if there was something in parsley that would cause symptoms like I listed. I don't normally have trouble with cukes or apples. I tried researching parsley properties and didn;t get much for helpful info.
I am willing to not drink it but just wanted help on why it would cause the above issues.

Could be because it's a medicinal herb (or a garnish in some place :p ) and not really something that should be juiced and drunk in quantity. It's VERY powerful as you've found out. I would put it probably second to wheatgrass as far as it's potency.

How much were you putting in?

Cut the parsley out a few times, see what happens then add a little back to see if you get the reaction again.
I can't juice zuccini but can eat it whole.

Don't make mixture of all these. Take the the juice of them individually.
I suggest you not to use the parsley.

many people juice a head of parsley (that you buy in the store) with 4 green apples and drink that with no problems... so it may be a reaction you are having but it isn't the norm (from what i know)...

i would definitely try cutting it out and then adding it back in. it may have just been your reaction on that day and had nothing to do with what you consumed.

I was using half a bunch of parsley and 1 cucumber and 4 apples. I never really had parsley before in quantity. Like maybe a sprig here or there.

There's your answer. Parsely is a cleanser.

Jay Kordich in his book "The Juiceman's Power of Juicing" on page 194 says:

The high incidence of chlorophyll in parsley juice metabolizes oxygen in the bloodstream purifying it and at the same time may act to cleanse the kidneys, liver, and urinary tract.
