In a few weeks I will be going to Las Vegas, on the way to Mesquite for a family reunion. I told my mom the ONLY thing I really wanted to do was to visit Go Raw Cafe and actually have a choice when eating out besides salad! YAY! So anyone who has been there, can you recommend anything? It all looks so good ( googled the menu) that I might just have to get the variety plates of both the entrees and the desserts! :D I love to eat out and have really missed having fun like that, even though I actually rarely ate out even before going raw, except when I visit my mom. My mom loves to treat me, so this is something we always did when we spend time together. I visited her a few weeks back and we went out to eat every night but I had to just eat plain salads, not much of a treat.

Hopefully the day comes sooner than later where there's multiple Raw Organic Restaurants on every block. This should be about the time Dr Cow's Nut Cheese is widely available and isn't 10$ for 3 oz.

Katch - this is what I enjoyed there:

The Koockies and Kream smoothie
I enjoyed the pizza, but the crust was kind of dry and powdery

I think I had 2 of their tasty toasts: Mexicali and bruchetta. I think the bruchetta toast was my fav of the whole business. I had about 3 meals there all told during a business trip.

I was expecting awesome quacamole there - but was disappointed.

I am in Las Vegas on a business trip and had the opportunity to go the the Eastside location (Lakes Center).

I had the Italian Sampler (lasagna, zuchinni spaghetti and bruschetta toast) the Kale Salad and a Green Zing Juice. I couldn't stay to eat so it was take-out.

The young lady taking my order was very friendly and helpful. I told her I was from New Jersey and had to come since I was in town. I was going to go for the Lasagna, but since I have had many versions of a Raw Lasagna, I wanted to try something else, I asked for recs and she said the Italian sampler still would be a great choice, so I setted for that just the same.

The servings were plentiful and very bright and colorful. You could see the ingredients were super fresh and lively. As far as taste, it was ok. The Kale Salad was the best of the two dishes; I'm not sure what the dressing was (green it was so I will assume it was the Cilantro, could have been their house dressing) and that, poured over the Kale, made it super delicious.

I didn't like the little toasty triangles that were included with the salad; it was a bit bitter to me, so no go there.

I purchased a Go Raw Cafe hemp T-shirt , some Rawsome seasoning, Garlic bread and Spicy Chips. I am shipping those home and when I use them, I'll come back and give a review.

They had a good selection of snacks, books and health products including body care and toothpastes.

There were a few people ordering lunch and someone eating in. The place was fairly well kept and clean.

Overall, it gets a B+ from me.
