Hello,
after reading countless sources about diet and raw lifestyle,
I decided to go cold turkey on raw foods 12 days ago, I didn't find it
particularly hard for some reason, I did the same thing with smoking 5 years ago.
Since the switch to raw, I feel full of energy, never tired, really focused and just felt really good overall. Couldn't believe the amount of energy I had compared to past days.
In the morning, I drink a large glass and a little more of water prior to fruit intake. For breakfast I would have a little fruit salad, (apple-orange-pear)
I've been eating some fruits blendings in the morning (orange squeezed + strawberry + raisins + kiwi) only had for two days as they were really powerful and I suspected that the fruit combo might not be right?
If I don't have a fruit juice blend/smoothie I would eat a fruit at a time. Banana last as it takes more time to digest. Basically I know in many books and sources I have read, some say "have as much fruits as you like" then certain places say "don't combine the acid fruits with the sub acid fruits" so
it gets a bit weird.

For lunch and dinner, I've had spinach salad (romaine lettuce + cucumber + chopped carrots) and I would vary the ingredients like (spring onions, cress, cucumber, tomato, leeks, avocado, walnuts(do you need to soak them in water?, I didn't), I would make sure the portions were quite a bit larger than fist full and keeping no more than 5 ingredients. Adding homemade dressing (dijon mustard with cold pressed oil + crushed garlic 1/2 clove, sometimes add lemon to it)

On the 11th day, I lost my appetite and didn't really feel the need to eat something, didn't feel as vibrant as the other days, I thought that was kind of strange, According to numerous articles I read; sometimes the body just doesn't need food as it wants to get back to work reconstructing the body and getting rid of the toxins.
I drank lots of water and ate 3 banana during the whole day just to make sure I was eating something at least.

Before the raw switch, I was doing sports to compensate the amount of time sat in front of the desk and I have continued to be active but I have lowered a little bit recently as I need to rest a bit more for Detox.

Is this normal, has anyone experienced this body behaviour in the process of switching to raw foods after 2 weeks. (loss appetite and feeling a bit like a zombie)

I too am newly raw....I am now on day 7 and yesterday had no appetite as well as this morning...the days prior had a lot of energy......I really think my body is just getting use to my new eating habits......I had such a deep sleep last night and do feel zombie-like....I notice that I am sleeping better not waking up as much...So perhaps these are normal detox symptoms......I know the last time I tried raw...by the end of the first week I had an outbreak of cold sores that were so painful....but I think that is because I didnt do enough research on what I was eating....I was having a lot of citrus and not enough greens......

EveryBODY is different. EveryBODY is going to experience different ways of adjusting. I say rest when you need to, eat when you want to. Enjoy this healing journey. What works for one may not work for you. Try not to compare. Listen to your bodies. Get to know them and fuel them as necessary.

Interesting description of your food intake and what you've decided to eat. It's very similar to my first month. I am just into my second month now.

Compared to my experience, you sound very normal, although it took longer for my appetite to decrease. I noticed a big difference after about four weeks.

Hmm.. I didn't get the feeling like a zombie bit myself. But everybody definitely reacts differently. Keep going and see how you feel. All throughout I haven't noticed an energy increase in myself, although I have lost a lot of weight already, which wasn't my intention but now that it's gone I realize that I needed to lose some weight. :)

Good luck!
