Hubby wants to get me a slicer. I would really like something that is adjustable, thin to thick. My processor slices one thickness. Don't really want a giant (where am I gonna put this thing) electric meat slicer, which is what he's looking at. Of course, if I have the wrong attitude here, please change it for me.
I know RP has a mandoline and a v-slicer. VV has a v-slicer. Someone else had one they got from Bed Bath and Beyond. And after spending hours weeding out spiral slicer posts I know nothing else. I have never seen either gadget. Completely ignorant.

What do you all have? What do you use it for? How much does it cost? Where would I get one? Would it help if I waited till Alissa's DVD came? Does she use either one on it? Since the book is temporarily out of stock, what about the DVD. Should it be here any day or will it be sent later with the book?
