Moon phases and fasting?

I heard that there are times better to fast than others. I wonder if anyone has any information on that. Right now is young moon and fasting today was very easy for me. Does that mean young moon is the best? Does that also mean that we would cleanse as well or is it easier, because we cleanse slower?

heavy cleansing on dark moon and full moon... other than that it seems all about the same to me. :)
