Hi all!

My name is Armida. I am originally from San Diego, California and currently living in San Francisco. I will be moving to Toronto on October 29 where my husband of 2 years is currently undergoing his PhD program in OISE. I am extremely excited about the move, it comes at a perfect time when my life is all about change. I am not 100% raw, I'm about 85-90% currently with some days being 100%. Even on my 85-90% raw diet (in the beginning it was 50% at most), I have lost over 50lbs in less than 5 months.

:p

That's wonderful about your weight loss!! I'm sure you will enjoy living in Toronto....it's a beautiful city. They also have quite alot to offer raw foodists - restaurants and health food stores. I live in Buffalo, which is about 2 1/2 hours away from Toronto, and we even have a nice group of raw foodists here too!! Don't forget to visit Niagara Falls - even in the winter!! It's beautiful with ice on everything. And Niagara-on-the-Lake is also a beautiful little town. Hopefully, you will enjoy our "four seasons of fun"!! You'll probably hear from some other Torontonians. Good luck on your raw food journey and in your new home in Toronto!!

Thanks all for the welcome and support in my raw journey!

Buffalogal...I am so excited to be going to Toronto. Everyone I've mentioned it to has nothing but great things to say about the city. I wish I were there now! As a true southern California girl, I'm sure the winters will be extremely rough, but I will certainly try to make it to the falls when they are frozen to see the splendor.

Welcome Sawan, and congrats on that amazing weight loss! Keep it up, you won't regret it! I'm just about 3-4 months ahead of you on being raw, and although I'm pregnant now, I still have 40 pounds I'd like to lose. But I'm so happy with this diet, the more I learn about the health benefits the more I know that it is the right one for me.
