Well, this has happened before with foods that weren't dehyrated but i find it gross the taste of plastic on my lovely apple rings.
does anyone else have this situation?
while ziplocks are easy, they aren't safe if my food is tasting like it.
i am going to be looking into getting glass containers to take to work
anyone elses opinions are appreciated!
I keep everything in glass mason jars because grain moths and mice can get into plastic. They keep foods dry and crisp which is a plus living in a humid area. They are pretty easy to find at the thrift store, cheap too!

I have a lot of inexpensive glass containers from ikea.
I try to avoid plastic as much as possible. Impossible I know!

I also put mine in Mason Jars, and if I feel it'll be stored for a little, I use my vacuum sealer with the handy dandy jar lid attachment and suck out the air. They really keep well then.
I also put a piece of unbleached paper towel in there.
I actually don't like that vacuum sealer much with bags in the freezer etc, as I find they end up leaking. But I do like them with the jars, even though it's a little tricky getting them to seal sometimes.
