I am interested in trying juice fast/feast... (I have already incorporated juicing in my diet) But I am not ready to make the commitment of not eating AT ALL... Can I start off with MOST meals replaced by juice and say maybe for lunch, I grab a salad?? Would that still aid in detoxing my body?

Aleesha,
I am also interested in your tomato recipe you posted on another thread... it sounds almost like a soup!! Can I juice fresh onions and garlic instead of the power?? Have you tried it before? Can I warm the "soup"? I am asking this because I know that heat boosts the absorption of lycopene, so strictly speaking... cooked tomatos are better than raw.

Thanks!

First and foremost we don't advocate cooking foods on this forum so I had to edit your post to remove that portion.

Here's the tomato juice recipe: here (http://aleeshasrawlife.blogspot.com/2008/08/tomato-juice-with-curry.html).

I usually used fresh garlic but I don't do onions... you certainly could though.

Eating raw foods will detox your body so yes, doing juice and eating raw will assist with that. Personally I would find that eating once a day and juicing the rest would be waaaaaay harder than allowing my hunger to go away while simply fasting.

But if it works for you... go for it! :)
