Does anyone have any information or experience with this? I have tried to do a search and can't come up with anything other than juice or water fasting here. I want to know how many have done "dry" fasting, for what reasons, and for how long and how you fared? Please can you share?:)

Thanks so much.

Sue.

Thanks Lucy, I'll try it. Tonya Zavasta writes lots about it in her books, but I thought I'd see if anyone here knows about it also. I seldom come across it. I understand it is good for healing but I get constipated and that scares me.:p

Wowee! There is lots about it Lucy. Thanks so much. Why on earth didn't I think of doing this before? Duh!

*nodding* google is our friend *giggling*

i've dry fasted but not for longer than a day and only because i've been really sick and want to get well as quickly as possible.

i'm not a fan of dry fasting... i don't believe it's healthy for your body...

I dry fasted one day and I was amazed at how not thirsty I was, I thought my mouth would dry up and I would feel like what spongebob looks like after being out of water!! But it was not so, I did indeed take it easy that particular day. I do plan on doing a dry day or two as I progess with my water fast, I believe I read somewhere it is one way of actually upping the detoxing one is doing?? I would not want to do it on a really hot day or one when I was planning much of any kind of work.

i agree beth. also... begin your next day with at LEAST one litre of water right away and another litre within the hour. you need to rehydrate your organs!!!

Dry fasting is a very spiritual experience but it's like with everything else: if you don't believe in it's benefits, then you won't notice any :)

Wow Dry fast is a really short fast, I agree with Aleesha, a day at the most. Please start out easy like couple hours at first. :)

It doesnt appear to me to be good at all. We need water to survive.

I think, listen to your body. I prefer juice fasting, but today I wanted water fast and I barely wanted to drink.I read that you can do dry fasting up to 3 days in a row. More than that - getting dangerous.
